Members of the South Carolina Hunter Jumper Association compete in sanctioned events all over the southeast. Points are tabulated throughout the year and awards are given to those members who accumulate the highest number of points. These awards are given at the Year End Awards Banquet held in Camden in December.

The SCHJA Scholarship Program rewards the winners of both the South Carolina Governor's Cup Finals and the SCHJA Palmetto Medal Finals.  Each winner may use their $1000.00 Scholarship Award towards either equestrian improvement, academic advancement (an accredited institution) or a combination of both.
